ACTIVE AFTER SCHOOL AQUATICS PROGRAM...click to read more

The Club has now identified a person to lead our AAS program and various meetings have been held with the Active After School regional co-ordinator and we are currently building a 7 week, 1 hour a week aquatics program that will appeal to students. As mentioned earlier, the Club sees the AAS program as a key pathway to developing the Club’s membership. However, we will be unable to manage our AAS commitment without volunteers and the Club is appealing for those who can help. We are looking for a pool of members with sailing experience to give up 1 hour a week in the afternoon so this will ideally suit a retired member, or someone that works part-time. The volunteer will be required to complete some formalities including a police check and some training. Our first program is scheduled to begin in the 2nd week of October.
